Nickel alloy 625 or duplex cladded choke

Corrosion-resistant overlay/ nickel alloy 625 or duplex stainless steel cladding for a wetted area of choke valve is developed at JVS looking to the critical components used in upstream of separators i.e. christmas tree. Corrosion is not only due to make up of the well fluids and flow conditions but also due to the toxic chemicals used in well treatment. Currently nickel alloy 625 cladding provides the best corrosion resistance solution.

Deep well contain carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide at low depth. Well has free corrosive environment or toxic chemical environment. Instead of using solid nickel alloy 625 parts, cladding process is introduced to keep the cost down. 3mm finished cladding of nickel alloy 625 is engineered solution. This corrosion resistance overlay is carried out on low alloy steel body, bonnet, bean & bean adaptor. This process helps to keep the overall cost down and extend the life of chokes.

JVS qualified process for nickel alloy 625 cladding for the stringent requirement of maximum 5% FE content or economical requirement of maximum 10% FE content. The above process is qualified in-line with API 6A & ASME section IX.
