The JVS-SET-II Double Grip Packer meets a variety of treating and production requirements. Mechanically operated upper slips eliminate the need for thus the cost and maintenance of hydraulics hold-down assembly. Full opening design allows unrestricted fluid and tool movement through tubing. A pressure balanced bypass valve, which is held open when running and retrieving, prevents swabbing effect. The valve also allows debris to be washed from top slip when releasing. The bypass valve is held closed by pressure from below and in turn helps prevent upward movement of tubing.
