The JVS Model "R" Seating Nipple is a BOTTOM NOGO that provides for the location of various wireline flow control devices in the production string.
The location and number of model "R" Seating Nipples should be carefully considered in the completion planning stages to allow maximum versatility in the positioning of various flow control accessories.
Model "R" Seating Nipple may be used for the following operations :
Land blanking plugs to shut in wells or to test the production tubing.
Land velocity type safety valves.
Land equalizing check valves.
Land circulating blanking plugs.
Land chokes to reduce surface following pressures or to have pressure drops down-hole to prevent surface freezing in gas production.
Honed internal sealing bores for maximum sealing performance.
Locking grooves / BOTTOM NOGO shoulder combination above seal bore.
Accepts selective or BOTTOM NOGO locks.
