Electrical actuator operated choke
Electric actuators are more cost-effective actuators for choke than their hydraulic and pneumatic counterparts. Electric actuators benefit from cleaner, simpler and more energy-efficient power transmission. The electric actuator's integration is easier with programmable controls. Maintenance is minimized with no parts replacement or lubrication needed except in extreme conditions.
JVS uses modulating duty linear and multi-turn actuators to control the position of choke in line with process requirements. The most common fail position of choke through electric actuator is fail-safe (stay put). Fail open or fail closed position of choke can also achieve by electric actuator.
The choke can also be operated manually using the actuator handwheel by using declutch-able lever in case of loss of power supply or actuator failure.
Actuator motor available in the global range of voltage like 1/60/115, 3/60/208, 1/50/115, 1/50/220, 1/60/230, 3/60/230, 3/50/380, 3/60/380, 3/50/400, 3/50/415, 3/50/440, 3/60/460, 3/50/515, 3/60/575, 24 VDC and 48 VDC.
The actuator is available with network communications protocols like Modutronic (4-20mA command and feedback signal), Modbus RTU protocol, HART, Foundation Fieldbus, and PROFIBUS PA option.
Optional Bluetooth® wireless connectivity is also available for configuration.
Actuators used with chokes are certified for all hazardous area locations around the globe.
